GMU Professor Recognised for Most Cited Article in "Metrology and Measurement Systems"
An article written by Professor Cezary Specht, head of the Geodesy and Oceanography Section within the Faculty of Navigation at GMU, entitled "Accuracy assessment of mobile satellite measurements in relation to the geometrical layout of rail tracks", and published in Metrology and Measurement Systems (vol. 26, no. 2, pp. 309-321), was the most commonly cited article to feature in the journal in 2019-2020.
The work, which is the result of cooperation with experts from Gdansk University of Technology, has attracted the particular interest of metrologists. In recognition of the academic reach of the work, Professor Spechta received a "Certificate of a Top Cited Article in 2019-2020" from Metrology and Measurement Systems.
The journal is an international peer-reviewed quarterly periodical that has been published since 1988 (in English since 2001) and is today released in both print and electronic formats, the latter within the electronic library of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The journal is indexed in Journal Citation Reports and Web of Science Master Journal List (of Clarivate Analytics, previously Thomson Reuters), INSPEC, Scopus, Index Copernicus, Google Scholar, CSA Technology Research, High Tech Research Database, and Solid State & Superconductivity.
