CALL FOR PAPERS
Special Session on Specialized Decision Techniques for Data Mining, Transportation and Project Management

at

29th International Conference on Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems
KES 2025

Osaka, Japan
10 - 12 September 2025

  1. INTRODUCTION

The aim of the special session is to bring together researchers interested in various decision techniques, dedicated for solving problems from domains of data mining, transportation and project management, to share their experience, present current research results and discuss advances of these techniques.
Topics of submitted papers should focus on methods and applications, where specialized decision tools and techniques are used to enhance, support or replace traditional approaches to decision making in intelligent data mining, transportation and project management.

  2. TOPICS OF INTEREST

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

    • Artificial intelligence
    • Computational intelligence
    • Optimization and strategies for decision making problems
    • Collective decision making
    • Adaptive methods for decision making problems
    • Distributed systems
    • Multi-agent system and agent-based modeling
    • Expert Systems
    • Application of intelligent techniques for decision making problems
    • Other related topics

The session aims at addressing such issues from practical and theoretical perspectives.

  3. INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS

The submitted papers should present results of the original and unpublished research. The papers will be reviewed by the International Program Committee. The best submissions will be selected for presentation and will be included in the conference proceedings.
The conference proceedings will be published in Elsevier's Procedia Computer Science open access journal, available in ScienceDirect and submitted to be indexed/abstracted in CPCI (ISI conferences and part of Web of Science), Engineering Index, and Scopus.
Submitted papers should be prepared in Elsevier's Procedia style and should be limited to 8 to 10 pages (maximum). All papers must be submitted electronically via conference submission system.
After the conference, the authors of the selected papers will be invited to extend their papers for publication in scientific journals.
