Job Title DECK CADET
Job Description: The Deck Cadet is responsible for assisting the Captain and officers in various tasks onboard, including navigational duties, maintenance of deck equipment, and ensuring the safety of the drillship. They also help in operational activities and watchkeeping on a ship.
Duties & Responsibilities (as stated in Training Record Book ‘TRB’) ▪ Completes in preparing reports, projects, and presentations as required by the program and engages in offshore work and developmental training. ▪ Supports emergency response efforts, including personal emergency actions and assisting with survival craft and rescue boats on board. ▪ Assists deck crew in maintaining steelwork, deck equipment, and personal, health, safety, and environmental standards on the vessel. ▪ Contributes to maintaining a navigational watch under supervision of the senior officer. ▪ Supports the deck crew with vessel mooring, anchoring, and securing operations and helps build productive working relationships on board.
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENT APPLICATION PROCESS
Mode of Training: Offshore assignments on deepwater drillship (Onsite)
Desired Duration 12 months (flexible training schedule with interval onshore breaks)
