The seminar was opened by HM Rector Professor Adam Weintrit, who welcomed all the participants.

The seminar will be held over the next two weeks, with GMU hosting students from Hochschule Bremerhaven during the first week (10-17.05.2022) and GMU students making their way to Bremerhaven for the second week (28.05. – 05.06.2022), where they will continue sessions with their German counterparts.

The seminar's programme of events includes lectures in English given by teaching staff from both universities, meetings with university leaders and student organisation representatives, as well as visits to Polish and German companies. In addition to its scientific and educational goals, the seminar aims to familiarise the Polish and German students with each other's universities and encourage them to join programmes of study at partner institutions as part of the Erasmus+ scheme, as well as introduce them to the history and culture of the two regions of Pomerania and Bremen.

Two professors from Hochschule Bremerhaven will take part in the seminar: Professor Gerhard M. Feldmeier and Professor Hans Rummel, who arrived at our University accompanied by ten students, and a further ten students from GMU.

Coordinating the seminar on behalf of GMU are Dr Marzenna Popek and Dr Romuald Zabrocki.
