31st Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity at GMU
Showings in the University's planetarium, demonstration visits to the simulators of the Faculty of Navigation, red hearts, and tempting online auctions - these are just some of the attractions prepared by Gdynia Maritime University staff and students as part of the 31st Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOSP), on 29th January 2023.
The slogan for this year's fundraiser is:
We want to win with sepsis! The Grand Finale for All - The Little and the Big Ones!
The Gdynia Maritime University's fundraising events as part of the WOŚP final
Sunday 29.01.2023,
10:00 - 14:00 in the building of the Faculty of Navigation, al. John Paul II 3:
- showings in the Antoni Ledóchowski Planetarium - showings will start every 30 minutes (main entrance to the Faculty of Navigation),
- come and see the ship manoeuvre simulator and radar navigation simulator, where students of the Faculty of Navigation learn the art of manoeuvring a ship and more.
There will also be a shop open inside the Faculty building selling WOŚP gadgets and run by the charity's local team. In addition, there will also be a stand run by Academia Wellness under the patronage of Herbalife. Here there will be equipment available to measure the composition of your body.
Staff and students from the SZKUNER SP2ZIE Maritime Communications Club from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering will be on hand to show all those interested how to operate a short-wave radio station.
Especially for the 31st Finale, students of the Faculty of Marine Engineering have made an extraordinary, industrial, maritime lamp, which will be bid on during the Grand Orchestra Auction at the Witold Gombrowicz City Theatre. Bidding begins at 18:00.
University's merchandise shall also be put to auction online on Allegro by the Charity's Gdynia Office. Auctions can be accessed on a special WOŚP profile and include:

A navy bag with an embroidered Gdynia Maritime University logo, and two car registration plate frames with a Gdynia Maritime University banner.
- Gift set no 2
a diary, a lanyard, a mouse pad, a Gdynia Maritime University engraved pen, and a webcam cover.
- Gift set no 3
a man's dark navy polo shirt - size L, and a dark navy baseball cap
- Gift set no 4
a woman's, dark navy polo shirt - size L, and a dark navy baseball cap.
- Gift set no 5
a dark navy winter hat, and a 2023 spiral calendar
- Gift set no 6
a limited edition version "Dar Młodzieży" puzzle.
- Gift set no 7
a voucher for a night’s stay in the “captain’s” apartment at the University’s "Mały Żagiel" hostel in Gdynia.
All funds raised on the day and through the auction will be donated to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
