GMU Education Promoted At Opposite Ends of the Country

The degree programmes on offer at Gdynia Maritime University were presented recently during education fairs in Katowice and Bytów, the CONRADINUM 2023 Technology Days event, as well as to students of a general secondary school in Gdansk.

The 20th Polish Education Fair 2023 took place from 21st to 22nd March 2023 in Katowice, where it attracted crowds of young people who had the opportunity to learn about the courses on offer at our University. The two-day event attracted several thousand final-year high school pupils, nearly 60 higher education institutions, postgraduate and language schools, as well as other institutions involved in education.

On 23rd March 2023, GMU staff and students took part in the 8th edition of Technology Days organised by the CONRADINUM Shipbuilding and Technical Schools in Gdansk. Participants were attracted to the University's stand by interesting devices such as thermal imaging cameras, endoscopic cameras, ship power plant simulators, and engineering works of students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

On the same day, we hosted students from the Academic Secondary School of the National Anthem in Gdansk in the Faculty of Navigation. In addition to attending a demonstration in the Antoni Ledóchowski Planetarium, the students also visited the manoeuvre simulator and were told about the educational opportunities at the University.

On 24th March 2023, GMU representatives travelled from Katowice to Bytów, where during the Education and Work Fair, they answered the questions of this year's final-year secondary school pupils.
