GMU Professors Named Members of PAN Scientific Committees

The Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) has announced the results of the nominations to its Scientific Committees beginning in 2024. No less than 6 GMU professors have gained recognition by being named as members of the Committees.

In accordance with the "Rules for the election of members and bodies of the Scientific Committees" elections for 71 Polish Academy of Sciences Scientific Committees.

Gdynia Maritime University Professors have been named as members of five Committees:

  1. Transport Committee
    Professor Adam Weintrit 
  2. Electronics and Telecommunications Committee
    Professor Krzysztof Górecki
    Professor Janusz Zarębski 
  3. Metrology and Scientific Apparatus Committee
    Dr Kalina Detka
    Professor Krzysztof Górecki
    Dr Agata Skwarek
  4. Food and Nutrition Committee
    Professor Piotr Przybyłowski 
  5. Geodesis Committee
    Professor Adam Weintrit

The Committees of the Polish Academy of Sciences are involved in the dissemination of science and the provision of expertise key to fair public debate. The Committees are teams of experts from different fields of study that create a space for intellectual exchange and the building of relationships between scientists. These experts represent national scientific communities and disciplines and perform advisory functions.
