GMU Maintains Position in Higher Education Rankings

We are pleased to announce that Gdynia Maritime University has maintained last years improved position in this year’s Perspektywy rankings of higher education institutions in Poland.

The newest league table compiled by the Perspektywy Education Foundation puts the University in 55-60th place, similar to last year’s ranking of 54-61 (61-70 in 2022 and 2021). GMU currently occupies 17th place in a separate ranking list for Technological Institutions (2023 - 16th, 2022 - 20th, 2021 - 19th).

GMU’s results improved in relation to 13 indicators across five areas with respect to this year’s ranking. Particularly impressive is the University’s result for effectiveness in gaining external funding for research; GMU was awarded 96.16 out of 100, which puts us in 2nd place in the country

This year’s results give cause for satisfaction but also provide an indication of the need for further efforts in order to improve our rankings next year.
