GMU Representatives Attend ITM Industry Europe Trade Fair
On 6 June 2024, members of the GMU Technology Transfer Office team, Beata Wetoszka and Marlena Żur-Lewandowska, and Dr Andrzej Piłat from the Department of Ship Electric Power in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, took part in the ITM Industry Europe Trade Fair at the Poznań Fair for the Industry of the Digital Age.
ITM Industry Europe is a leading trade fair in central Europe, at which exhibitors from Poland and around the world present products and services in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The event also provides a forum for meetings and the exchange of experience between leaders in innovation and global trends in industry.
Within the Trade Fair's Science and Startup Zone, GMU representatives presented the universities' current R&D innovations and technology services, including:
- Ship-wide electrical power quality monitoring system for electrical machines and equipment. - Faculty of Electrical Engineering
- New Char-Based Composite Material - Faculty of Marine Engineering
- Development of technology for manufacturing a new sandwich composite using recycled rubber material - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
- Equipment for a Mobile Diving Sea Rescue Service Base (MoB MEDS) - Faculty of Navigation
- Docking system for offshore installations - Faculty of Navigation
- An Innovative welded surfaces finishing method and the appropriate tool - Faculty of Marine Engineering
- DYLLI App (Hurthub) – Faculty of Marine Engineering / Faculty of Management and Quality Science.
The event also included a meeting of Special Purpose Companies and Technology Transfer Centres with the Director of the Department of Innovation and Development in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Michał Doligalski, dedicated to the topic of development of the areas where science and business meet. The talks resulted in six recommendations for future systemic solutions, with which the technology transfer community can actively help.
