"Journey Into Science" Project Enjoys Further Success

In January 2024, the third edition of a series of lectures carried out as part of the project entitled "Journey into Science" [Rejs do nauki] came to an end at the Faculty of Management and Quality Science at Gdynia Maritime University. 657 middle school pupils from 24 schools took part. Since the start of the project, a total of 1424 students from 53 secondary schools from Pomerania, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, and Warmia-Mazurskie have taken part in lectures given by faculty staff.

The series of lectures and workshops are aimed at secondary school pupils considering their options for higher education and further development. Participants improved their knowledge of current global issues, including climate, ecological ,and health risks, and developed their entrepreneurship and economic skills. The project provides young people with the opportunity to explore potential career areas, based on reliable knowledge of the world around them and the social and economic system in which they live, whilst motivating themselves to learn and discover knowledge.

The project is co-financed by the Ministry for Education and Science as part of its "Social Responsibility of Science" project, under the Popularisation of Science and the Promotion of Sport module, Project No. SONP/SP/550352/2022, The value of the grant is 100,000 PLN and the total value of the project - 111,200 PLN.
