Student Scientific Circles Gather for Christmas Eve Tradition

On 11 December, as has become a tradition in recent years, University chaplain and the “pastor of the people of the sea”, Father Edward Pracz, invited the members of the University’s student scientific circles to take part in a traditional Christmas Eve gathering for the breaking and sharing of Christmas wafers at the Stella Maris Centre in Gdynia.

Also taking part in the meeting was the Deputy Rector for Student Affairs, Dr Mirosław Czechowski, a representative of the Student Parliament, Tobiasz Chęciński, the Head of the Student Scientific Circles Council, Natalia Winiarska, as well as the supervisors and members of the GMU student scientific circles.

In a festive atmosphere, those gathered broke and shared Christmas wafers, exchanged wishes, sang carols and enjoyed traditional dishes typically consumed on the evening of December 24 in Poland. There was also the chance to reminisce on the events of the past year and talk about plans for 2024.

Wishing all student scientific circles, students and University staff members further success and determination in the achievement of their goals. May this Christmas season be a time of joy, love, and celebration. May it motivate us to take up further challenges, and give us the strength to overcome the difficulties we face in our daily and academic lives. Happy Christmas!
