GMU Doctoral School Receives Positive Education Quality Assessment
The GMU Doctoral School has been positively evaluated in an education quality assessment carried out by the Education Quality Commission.
The evaluation covered the years 2019–2024 and aimed to assess the conditions and quality of doctoral education.
The evaluation covered four academic disciplines in which the GMU Doctoral School provides education: automation, electronics, electrical engineering and space technologies; civil engineering, geodesy and transport; management and quality science; and Earth and environmental sciences.
The evaluation focused on areas such as the adequacy of the education programme and individual research plans in relation to the learning outcomes for qualifications at level 8 of the Polish Qualifications Framework (PQF) and their implementation; the method of assessing learning outcomes; the qualifications of academic and research staff; the quality of the admissions process; academic supervision and support for research activities; the reliability of the mid-term evaluation; internationalisation; and the effectiveness of doctoral education.
The decision of the Education Evaluation Commission was based on a self-assessment report prepared by the University and a site visit conducted by the Evaluation Team on 8 April 2025.
The positive evaluation awarded confirms the high quality of education provided by the GMU Doctoral School. The evaluation is not only a guarantee of the School’s stability but also an important signal to current and prospective doctoral candidates that they can develop their research competencies in an environment that meets the highest academic standards.
