Scholarly Evenings at GMU – 12 February 2025
On 12 November 2024, GMU will hold another lecture as part of its Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University.
The topic of this week’s popular science lecture will be "What connects the human circulatory system with an electrical circuit?". The speaker will present analogies between the flow of current in an electrical circuit and the flow of blood in the circulatory system. Creating electrical circuit models based on phenomena occurring in the circulatory system allows for the simulation of potential life- or health-threatening conditions. Such actions can contribute to the development of diagnostics for clinical and pathological states of selected organs.
Following the lecture, participants are invited for refreshments where there will be the chance to discuss the topic with the speaker.
Where: main auditorium at the Faculty of Navigation (al. Jana Pawła II 3, Gdynia)
When: 18:00 on Wednesday 12 February.
Entry is free of charge and open to all (the lecture will be given in Polish only)
The Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University initiative will include 20 lectures presented by experienced academic lecturers affiliated with GMU to be held on average twice a month (every second Wednesday at 18:00) at the University’s Faculty of Navigation. Lectures are open to the public and entry is free of charge.
