On 28 January 2025, during the weekly meeting of the Master Mariner’s Association held at the Faculty of Navigation, Marek Szczepański was presented with the Association’s commemorative medal minted to mark the centenary of the restoration of Poland’s independence.

During the meeting, Mr Szczepański gave a presentation at the A. Ledóchowski Planetarium much to the interest of all gathered. He elaborated on the arcana of astronavigation, mythology, and astrology, as well as contemporary space navigation techniques analysed in the light of such ventures as the planned missions to Mars.
