With over 1,500 companies, organisations, and institutions in more than 80 countries, including manufacturers, developers, component suppliers, research institutes, national wind and renewables associations, electricity providers, finance, and insurance companies Global Wind Energy Council is one of the most influential wind energy organisations.
 
Global Wind Energy Council works at the highest international political level to create a better policy environment for wind power. GWEC and its members are active all over the world, working with local and national governments and international agencies, educating decision makers and communities about the benefits of wind power.
 
Working with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), REN21, International Energy Agency (IEA), Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change (IPCC), International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENE), and international financial institutions, GWEC represents the global wind industry to demonstrate the progress achieved, but also to advocate new policies to help wind power reach its full potential in a wide a variety of markets.
 
The Executive Offshore Wind MBA at Gdynia Maritime University, Offshore Wind Energy Centre aspires to serve as a platform for wind energy expertise, ideas, and relations. The partnership with the Global Wind Energy Council will certainly contribute to making the Executive Offshore Wind MBA a unique programme.
