Information

Gdynia Maritime University's swimming centre is a place where students, staff and members of the public can come to keep fit or spend their free time in active relaxation. The swimming pool is located in the centre of Gdynia, next to the University's Faculty of Navigation.

During the academic year, the swimming pool organises swimming lessons for its students. Lessons are also held for primary schools and swimming schools. During the remaining hours, the pool is open to the public.

The GMU swimming centre offers a sports pool with 6 lanes of 25 meters in length and depths of between 1.10m and 3.15m. The health and safety of swimmers is overseen by a qualified team of lifeguards.

The swimming centre organises numerous sports activities for children, young people and adults, as well as a variety of tournaments and swimming competitions. Regardless of age or ability, the centre has something for everyone. Why not visit us to find out about working with your own personal trainer?

The swimming pool is adapted to the needs of swimmers with disabilities. There's a lift for lowering and lifting out of the water, as well as disabled toilets and showers.

We look forward to welcoming you!

*Please note that the swimming centre does not have family changing rooms.
