Swimming Pool
Welcome to a space where sport meets relaxation. The Gdynia Maritime University swimming pool is a modern facility in the heart of the city, open to anyone who wants to stay active – whatever their age or swimming ability.
During the academic year, the pool is used by GMU students as part of a structured swimming programme. Outside of study hours, it welcomes schools, swimming clubs, and individual visitors. Following a major refurbishment in 2025, the facility now offers greater comfort and an enhanced swimming experience.
The facility features a 25-metre pool with a depth ranging from 1.10 m to 3.15 m, divided into six lanes – ideal both for learning to swim and for sports training. Safety is overseen by a team of qualified lifeguards.
A wide range of activities is available, including classes for children, teenagers, and adults, as well as swimming competitions and championships. There’s something for everyone – from recreational swimming to professional coaching.
The pool is fully accessible for people with disabilities, with step-free access, adapted toilets and showers.
Please note: there is no family changing room available.
