The "Żagle Nauki" scientific and academic acheivement award is granted under the "Rules for the Allocation of Rectors Awards to GMU staff":

The Rector may choose to additionally honour academic teachers for specific outstanding acheivements or renown in the academic or professional community, examples of which may included staff with the highest number of citations, Impact Factor or h-index, the authors of  important scientific monographs or academic textbooks, or the authors of scientific papers included in University-published journals with the highest number of points or on in connection with the University's leading scientific disciplines.
