Ship Propulsion Plant and Offshore Construction Operation (Mechanical Engineering)
The English-taught bachelor’s degree programme in Ship Propulsion Plant and Offshore Construction Operation at the Faculty of Marine Engineering combines cutting-edge engineering knowledge with practical skills, ensuring graduates are in high demand on the job market. Students will gain current technical knowledge and develop practical skills in the operation and design fundamentals of marine propulsion plants and offshore structures. They acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for management roles in the engine department of a ship (marine engineering officer).
The degree programme in Ship Propulsion Plant and Offshore Construction Operation meets the standards of the International STCW Convention (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers), established by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), which guarantees recognition of the qualification worldwide.

- Applicants for bachelor’s degree programmes must hold a secondary school leaving certificate that entitles them to apply for higher education in the country where it was issued.

another recognised secondary school leaving certificate (or equivalent qualification) entitling the applicant to apply for higher education in their own country
If your certificate was issued outside Poland, it must:
- be legalised or bear an apostille (except for documents issued in EU countries or International Baccalaureate and European Baccalaureate diplomas);
- be translated into Polish by a sworn translator; and
- if required, be accompanied by a statement* from the Director of NAWA (Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange) confirming that it is recognised for further study in Poland.
