Ceremonial Inauguration of the Academic Year
on 4 October 2025, at 11:00 am
on the South Pier in Gdynia (opposite Gdynia Aquarium).

Order of Events:

• National anthem and raising of the flag
• Inauguration speech by HM the Rector of GMU, Prof. Adam Weintrit
• Swearing of the oath and matriculation of 1st-year students and doctoral candidates
• Rendition of Gaudeamus Igitur by Gdynia Maritime University Academic Choir
• Guest speeches
• Retiring of the flag and the close of the ceremony

A Holy Mass for the intentions of GMU staff, doctoral candidates, students, and graduates will be held on 4 October 2025 at 9:00 am at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Peter the Fisherman at ul. Portowa  2, Gdynia.
