35 Compete in First-Ever GMU Sudoku Championships!

35 competitors - GMU students and staff - took place in the University’s first sudoku championships on Monday 23rd May. Among the participants who gathered to compete in the main T. Meisner hall were HM Rector Professor Adam Weintrit. The challenge involved the completion of three sudoku puzzles of varying levels of difficulty within 60 minutes. The places of all those who completed all three puzzles correctly were decided by their finishing time.

The winner of the first Gdynia Maritime University Sudoku competition was Maciej Kowalewski, a student in the Faculty of Management and Quality Science. 2nd place was taken by Rector Professor Adam Weintrit, and Eryk Wiszenko, a student in the Faculty of Navigation, placed third.

Awards for the top three placing competitors will be presented on Wednesday (25th May) during the University’s Sports Day. All participants will receive mementoes from the GMU School of Physical Education and Sport.
