On 7 November 2023, the 20th National Conference for the Teaching of Mathematics at Technical Universities took place at Gdynia Maritime University (OKNMUT). The three-day conference was attended by 35 mathematicians representing universities from all over the country.

This year's 20th edition of OKNMUT was opened by Dr Sambor Guze, the University's Deputy Rector for Education. Welcoming the University's guest in the T. Meissner's Auditorium, the Head of the Conference Programme Committee said:

"I am happy to welcome so many of you to our University. The programme of our conference is built around three issues: industry 4.0, post-pandemic challenges in the teaching of mathematics, techniques and technology in the teaching of mathematics”.

After the opening ceremony, the conference was inaugurated by Dr Monika Rybczak from the Department of Ship Automation of the GMU Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

Conference for the Teaching of Mathematics at Technical Universities is a cyclical event organised every two years by various technical universities throughout the country, whose aim is to improve the quality of education in mathematics at technical universities and to integrate the academic community.

The event is organised by the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Navigation at Gdynia Maritime University.
