Gdynia Maritime University Among the Regions Leaders in Eagle Awards
Gdynia Maritime University is a winner in Pomerania of this year's Eagle Awards (Nagrody Orły) in the category of regional innovation.
A statuette was accepted by GMU Rector Professor Adam Weintrit at an awards ceremony for the Wprost Eagle Awards in Gdynia. The award is presented to business leaders, local governments, and non-governmental organisations in recognition of their contributions to the development of the region.
GMU was honoured in the category of "Innovation in the Region". In the opinion of the awards chapter, the University takes advantage of the opportunities offered by European funds for research and development projects, conducting a range of scientific projects and developing its capabilities, and, above all, educational offering.
"I would like to sincerely congratulate all those who have received a similar distinction. I am particularly honoured to be part of such a noble group presented with this award today." said Rector Professor Adam Weintrit.
The award was also received by the University of Gdansk.
