GMU hosts "Belzona in Ship Technology" scientific and technical workshops

On 15th March 2023, the 3rd edition of the "Belzona in Ship Technology" scientific and technical workshops took place in the main hall at Gdynia Maritime University. The event was organised by Belse Sp. z o.o. in collaboration with the Faculty of Marine Engineering and the Nautica Scientific Circle.

The workshops were led by Belse's Technical Director, Roman Masek, who demonstrated the possibilities of the use of the composite materials of Belzona, designed for use in difficult marine environments. Thanks to Belse's experience in the Polish maritime industry, the workshop participants were able to see examples of the use of protective coatings and composites for the mechanical repairs of Belzon, which are characterized by extremely high resistance to erosion and corrosion in the marine environment.

During the second part of the event, a practical demonstration took place, during which the Belse Supervisory Inspector, Kamil Ostaszewski, presented an example of the Belzona 7311 composite material used for structural bonding.

Belzona's scientific and technical workshops in ship technology attracted almost 150 participants, including professionals connected with the maritime industry, as well as the academic community of the Maritime University. During the event, there were many opportunities to establish professional and scientific contacts, as well as for the exchange of experience and technical consultation.

The third edition of the "Belzona in Ship Technology" scientific and technical workshops came to a close with an outstanding symphonic concert during which participants were treated to a performance by musicians from the Polish Radio National Orchestra and the Maritime University Choir led by conductor Karol Hilla.
