Closing Conference of eMSP NBSR Project Held in Gdańsk
The closing international conference of the 3-year eMSP NBSR project took place at the Radisson Hotel in Gdansk from 31st January to 1st February, organised by the leading project partner, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, and supported by staff from the Maritime Institute’s Spatial Policy Unit.
The conference was attended by more than 90 participants from European countries, including representatives of administration. Gdynia Maritime University Rector Professor Adam Weintrit gave a welcome speech in which he also presented the teaching and research potential of our University in connection with maritime spatial planning and the development of offshore wind energy.
During workshops and panels, participants discussed the recommendations made within the framework of the project, its results, related initiatives, and the future challenges faced by European maritime planners.
The conference also held a marketplace where other initiatives concerning the planning of maritime areas could be consulted.
The event marked the end of the conference at the European Solidarity Centre.
