Crew and Students to Vote on Board Dar Młodzieży
Despite being at sea, the crew of Dar Młodzieży will still get the chance to vote in Sunday’s national elections. Dar Młodzieży is one of four Polish ships which have made preparations for voting to take place on board. The ship’s permanent crew and the students of the GMU Faculty of Navigation on board will vote on board at what has been designated polling station number 1000.
The University’s sail training ship is currently in the Atlantic Ocean, some 200 miles from the Azores, as it returns home after completing its voyage in commemoration of the crossing of the equator by the first ship sailing the Polish flag, the tall ship Lwów.
Voting will take place under the supervision of an election committee on board Dar Młodzieży on Sunday between the hours of 9.00-21.00 ship time. A total of 122 persons on board are entitled to vote.
