Gdynia Maritime University GMU

On 29 May 2024, HM The Rector of Gdynia Maritime University Professor Adam Weintrit held a meeting with the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure, Dr Arkadiusz Marchewka. The visit of the Secretary of State to Gdynia Maritime University was in relation to the recently opened GMU Sports and Recreation Centre.

During the meeting, the Rector discussed current matters at the University and the potential for the development of a student residence adjacent to the Sports and Recreation Centre. The Minister then toured the new facility in the company of the Rector, the Director of the Sports and Recreation Centre, Andrzej Lachowicz, and GMU Chancellor Filip Malata. During the tour, the plans for the development of new student accommodation were outlined by the Chancellor.

The newly developed building is the first phase of development of a sports and student accommodation complex planned for the main University campus.
