Seafarer training on the world-famous "Dar Młodzieży" sail training ship, well-equipped laboratories, modern simulators, and voyages to the other end of the world, and an education that will open doors to well–paid, exciting profession - we have all this and more in store for our new recruits at Gdynia Maritime University. With 104 years of tradition in maritime education and training, GMU is the oldest maritime university in Poland and one of the top-ranking maritime universities in the world.  

The University educates officers for the merchant fleet as well as engineering and management personnel for the maritime industry and maritime support services at bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. GMU currently offers a wide range of modern degree programmes which cater to the needs of the labour market. Students can choose to study for a degree or postgraduate diploma full-time or part-time, attend our prestigious MBA programme, or take one of our qualification or specialist courses.
