Taking part in the meeting from GMU were Dr Sambor Guze, Deputy Rector for Education and Student Affairs; Dr Dariusz Barbucha, Deputy Rector for Science; and Professor Tomasz Tarasiuk, Deputy Rector for Internationalisation, Cooperation and Development.

The proposition to visit our University came about due to Gdynia’s dynamic cooperation with the city of Kaohsiung, one of its most important international partners. On behalf of GMU, the meeting was led by Dr Sambor Guze, Deputy Rector for Education and Student Affairs.

The guests were presented with the University’s wide range of study programmes, briefed on the key research projects being carried out at GMU, and introduced to the main areas of cooperation with the maritime and technology industries. They were also introduced to the University’s most important international and national partnerships, which strengthen the University’s renown as an important academic and research centre in the region and the world.

The next part of the visit included a demonstration of the Ship Power Plants Simulator in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, during which guests had the opportunity to visit the University’s modern teaching infrastructure. The visit culminated with a shared dinner attended by Rafał Geremek, Deputy Mayor of Gdynia.
