Department of Modelling and Mathematical Methods Holds Simulation Modelling Competition
The Department of Modelling and Mathematical Methods held the first Academic Championships in Simulation Modelling in PTV VISSIM on 13 May 2025.
Competing in the final of the event were students from Warsaw University of Technology, Rzeszów University of Technology, Silesian University of Technology, Bielsko-Biała University, and Gdynia Maritime University.
The contestants came up against a task designed by the Sustainable Mobility Department at Gdynia City Council and had only four hours to code an appropriate model as a solution.
The winner of the competition was Kacper Tyszkiewicz from Warsaw University of Technology. The judges also awarded distinctions to two other works by Szymon Ługiewicz of Gdynia Maritime University and Daniel Oleszek of the Silesian University of Technology.
