Gdynia Maritime University GMU

We are pleased to announce that in the last few years Gdynia Maritime University has maintained a stable position in the Perspektywy Rankings of Academic Education Institutions in Poland. The newest league table compiled by the Perspektywy Education Foundation puts GMU in 61st-72nd place in the Rankings of Academic Education Institutions in Poland.

Notably, GMU’s results have improved in relation to 12 indicators across six areas with respect to this year’s Rankings. Particularly impressive is the University’s result for effectiveness in gaining external funding for research and development; GMU was awarded 95.90 out of 100, which puts us in second place in the country. We are pleased to note that in 2025, under the criterion of educational conditions, GMU for the first time received a score for the accreditation indicator, measured by the number of valid international accreditations and certificates held by the institution, as well as recognised certificates of teaching excellence.

• exchange of academic lecturers as part of the Erasmus+ programme,
• multiculturalism of the student community.

This year’s results give cause for satisfaction, but also indicate the need for further efforts in order to achieve a better place in next year’s rankings.
