GMU Staff Member Awarded Distinction in Project Master 2025 Competition

A distinction in the PROJECT MASTER 2025 competition in the doctoral thesis category was awarded to Dr Magdalena Winiarska for her work defended in 2025, entitled Effectiveness of Project Management in Higher Education Institutions.

We are proud to announce the achievement of GMU staff member Dr Magdalena Winiarska. Her doctoral thesis, entitled Effectiveness of Project Management in Higher Education Institutions, which she defended in 2025 at the Faculty of Management and Quality Sciences of Gdynia Maritime University, received a distinction in the nationwide PROJECT MASTER 2025 competition in the doctoral thesis category, which awards prizes for the best theses in the field of project management.

The thesis was written at Gdynia Maritime University under the supervision of Dr Joanna Kizielewicz and with the support of assistant doctoral supervisor Dr Katarzyna Szelągowska-Rudzka.

The PROJECT MASTER competition is organised by IPMA Poland (International Project Management Association) and the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Management of the University of Szczecin. The project aims to popularise project management and promote authors characterised by exceptional knowledge and research quality in the field.

The distinction confirms the high academic quality of the research conducted at our University and highlights the importance of modern and effective project management in Polish higher education.
