GMU Students Party at Delfinalia Festival
From 30 to 31 May 2025, the “Delfinalia” annual student festival, Gdynia’s version of what’s known in other areas of Poland as “Juwenalia” – a student festival held each year in May before the summer exam session, which is similar to other celebrations in student communities around the world, was held in Gdynia.
The inauguration of the festival took place on 30 May. The event was attended by some 15,000 people. Among them were Gdynia Maritime University students, many of whom were involved in organising the festival, as well as local residents, and tourists. Welcoming the crowds from the stage near the aquarium on Gdynia’s south pier on the second day of the festival were HM The Rector of Gdynia Maritime University, Professor Adam Weintrit, and the Mayor of Gdynia, Aleksandra Kosiorek.
Those performing at this year’s event included artists from the Polish hip-hop scene, including Oki, Kizo, and Otsochodzi. The organisers also arranged additional attractions for those attending, such as volleyball and basketball tournaments. There was also a DJ zone and a food court with food trucks.
