Honorary Committee for Celebration of Centenary of Gdynia Meets at Emigration Museum
7 April 2025 saw the first gathering of the Honorary Committee for the Celebration of Centenary of Gdynia. The Committee was joined by representatives from the business world, culture, the scientific community, parliamentarians, diplomats, local government officials and others. Taking part in the ceremony was HM The Rector of GMU, Professor Adam Weintrit, a member of the Honorary Committee.
During the event, the Major of Gdynia, Aleksandra Kosiorek, presented symbolic nominations to membership of the Honorary Committee for Celebration of the Centenary of Gdynia. The first meeting also saw the election of the Committee’s chair, Tadeusz Szemiot, the head of Gdynia City Council. The meeting was a chance for the members to familiarise themselves with projects connected with the celebrations of Gdynia’s centenary. The tasks of the Honorary Committee for the 100th Anniversary of Gdynia will include supporting the organisation of events accompanying the celebrations.
