Lecturers from Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal in Portugal Visit GMU

On 5 February 2025, lecturers from the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal in Portugal visited GMU in connection with cooperation between the two institutions as part of the Erasmus+ programme.

During the meeting, Professor Ana de Jesus Pereira Barreira Mendes and Professor Tiago Miguel Santa Rita Simões de Pinho introduced the degree programmes offered at their institution as well as the NEXUS project  – an innovative initiative for the port, transport, and multimodal sectors, developed by the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, in cooperation with the biggest companies from the Portuguese maritime sector.

The representatives also agreed on the possibility for three students and one lecturer to attend a short intensive course entitled Beyond Sustainability Trends, in Portugal as part of the Erasmus+ programme. 

GMU was represented by Dr Sambor Guze, Deputy Rector for Student Affairs and Education; Dr Aleksandra Wilczyńska, Deputy Rector for Science and Development in the Faculty of Management and Quality Control; Dr Robert Marek a staff member in the Faculty of Management and Quality Science; and Dr Paulina Witt and Anna Kapuścińska from the Erasmus+ Office.
