Scholarly Evenings at GMU – 7 MAY 2025

On 7 May 2025, GMU will hold another lecture as part of its Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University.

The topic of this week's popular science lecture will be "Industry 4.0 from the Perspective of Land and Sea".

What does the term "Industry 4.0" mean, and how does it relate to the technologies we use at home, those employed in factories, and those used on ships and in ports? During the lecture, the speaker will focus on selected topics that will help the audience better understand this concept. These will include, among others: digital twins, autonomous systems, and artificial intelligence, which is increasingly permeating our daily lives.

Speaking this week will be Dr Monika Rybczak, a doctor of technical sciences who is currently an assistant professor in the Autonomous Systems Department at Gdynia Maritime University.

Where: main auditorium at the Faculty of Navigation (al. Jana Pawła II 3, Gdynia)

When: 18:00 on Wednesday 7 May.
