On 18-19th March 2026, the 15th Transport Week event took place in Gdynia. This year’s event focused on the development of port infrastructure, cargo handling trends, and innovative technologies in maritime logistics. Taking part in the event was HM The Rector of GMU, Professor Adam Weintrit.

Those attending the conference were welcomed by Dr Arkadiusz Marchewka, Deputy Minister for Infrastructure; Rafał Geremek, the Deputy Mayor of Gdynia; Piotr Gorzeński, President of Port Gdynia (online); and Piotr Frankowski from the twice-monthly publication ‘Namiary na Morze i Handel’.

The first day of the event was dedicated to topics connected with the development of port infrastructure, including the construction of new deep-water terminals and trends in cargo handling in the Baltic Sea region. The second day was dedicated to innovative technological and infrastructure solutions.

Transport Week is one of the most important industry conferences in Pomerania devoted to transport, logistics, and seaports. The event also provides an opportunity to exchange experiences, build business relationships, and meet directly with experts. This year’s event was particularly special, as it coincided with the centenary of Gdynia.
