Professor Krzysztof Czaplewski Awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta

Professor Krzysztof Czaplewski, Director of the Gdynia Maritime University Maritime Institute, has been awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. One of the highest Polish state decorations, the award was conferred on the Professor for outstanding achievements in engineering and technical sciences, contributions to the development of navigation, and the popularisation of Polish scientific research worldwide.
The presentation ceremony for state honours conferred by the President of the Republic of Poland was held on 3 September 2026 at Belweder Palace. Minister Agnieszka Jędrzak presented the decoration on behalf of President Karol Nawrocki.
