Inauguration of the Academic Year 2020/2021
On Saturday, October 10, 2020, at the Southern Pier in Gdynia, in front of the "Dar Młodzieży" sailing ship, the traditional inauguration of the Academic Year 2020/2021 of Gdynia Maritime University took place.
Students, employees and invited guests were welcomed by the Rector, Prof. Adam Weintrit, PhD, DSc, FRIN, FNI, Master Mariner. The ceremony was attended, among others, by representatives of state and local government authorities, university rectors, representatives of enterprises related to the maritime economy, associations cooperating with the Maritime University, as well as university graduates and sympathizers.
The four students who achieved the best results during the recruitment, took the vow - on behalf of all first-year students. The text of the oath was read out by the Deputy Rector for Student Affairs, Mirosław Czechowski, DSc, Eng., Associate Professor.
His Magnificence Rector solemnly appointed students of representatives of individual faculties and a doctoral student.
