On 14th November 2023, a meeting took place between HM The Rector of GMU Professor Adam Weintrit and a representative of Boeing, Szymon Trąbała - one of the directors of the Engineering and Technology Center currently under development in Poland.

The meeting aimed to discuss potential cooperation between Boeing and Gdynia Maritime University. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Rector for Education, Dr Sambor Guze, as well as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Marine Engineering, Professor Andrzej Miszczak.

Both sides foresee great opportunities in teaching, science, student work experience and joint research and development projects.
