Faculty Of Management And Quality Science Gains IPMA Accreditation
The Faculty of Management and Quality Science has been accredited by the International Project Management Association Poland in Managerial Economics.
On 28 February, HM The Rector, Professor Adam Weintrit, signed an accreditation agreement with the International Project Management Association Polska. Through the IPMA-Student accreditation programme, the IPMA Polska enables higher education institutions to confirm the compliance of subjects related to project management with the competency requirements of the IPMA 4-L-C world standard. The IPMA 4-L-C certification system is widely recognised and applied in recruitment, staff development plans, and improving organisation project maturity.
Students and graduates of accredited universities have the opportunity to complement their academic education by obtaining an IPMA-Student certificate recognised by employers and joining an international community of professionals and organisations carrying out projects such as Young Crew and IPMA.
In recognition of the regulations in force in Polish higher education, IPMA Poland defined the competence guidelines in accordance with the Polish Qualifications Framework levels 6 and 7. The University was accredited based on the IPMA-Student Competence Matrix, which confirms the compliance of the learning outcomes of the subjects offered by the Faculty with the IPMA-Student Competency Requirements.
The IPMA Coordinator at the Faculty of Management and Quality Science and the initiator of the accreditation process is Dr Joanna Kizielewicz, Associate Professor and GMU Deputy Rector for Development and Cooperation. From 2025, students of the Faculty of Management and Quality will have the opportunity to gain IPMA certification.
Congratulations to all those involved on the accreditation!
