Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University to Meet for Fifth Lecture
On 15 January 2025, GMU will hold another lecture as part of its Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University.
The topic of this week’s popular science lecture will be "Can Yachts and Propeller Blades be Made into Something New? A Few Words on Recycling." During the lecture, we will discuss the issue of composite waste in Poland and around the world, with particular emphasis on the yacht industry and wind energy. The lecturer will also discuss different methods of recycling composite waste, from chemical to mechanical, taking into account their impact on the environment. The lecture will be given by Katarzyna Panasiuk from the Department of Fundamentals of Technology in the Faculty of Marine Engineering.
Where: main auditorium at the Faculty of Navigation (al. Jana Pawła II 3, Gdynia)

Entry is free of charge and open to all (the lecture will be given in Polish only)
The Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University initiative will include 20 lectures presented by experienced academic lecturers affiliated with GMU to be held on average twice a month (every second Wednesday at 18:00) at the University’s Faculty of Navigation. Lecture are open to the public and entry is to all lectures is free of charge.
