Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University - 26 February 2025
On 26 February 2025, GMU will hold another lecture as part of its Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University.
The topic of this week’s popular science lecture will be "More Than Profit: How Family Businesses Strengthen Social Capital” .
The talk aims to demonstrate that family businesses are not only an economic force but also a key element of social cohesion and well-being. The speaker will explain the unique strength of family businesses, showing how they form the backbone of the Polish economy.
Speaking this week will be Agnieszka Czarnecka, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Economics at the Faculty of Management and Quality Science.
Following the lecture, participants are invited for refreshments where there will be the chance to discuss the topic with the speaker.
Where: main auditorium at the Faculty of Navigation (al. Jana Pawła II 3, Gdynia)
When: 18:00 on Wednesday 15 January.
Entry is free of charge and open to all (the lecture will be given in Polish only)
The Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University initiative will include 20 lectures presented by experienced academic lecturers affiliated with GMU to be held on average twice a month (every second Wednesday at 18:00) at the University’s Faculty of Navigation. Lecture are open to the public and entry is to all lectures is free of charge.
