A GMU sailing team has begun its preparation for the 2025 sailing season under the instruction of Dr Jędrzej Charłampowicz.

Last year, the team, which consists of Dr Jędrzej Charłampowicz (Staff member in Dep of Logistics and Transport Systems), Bartosz Sadowsk (Facutly of Mechanical Engineering student) and Mikołaj Merkler (Faculty of Navigation student) won honours including: The Polish Cup in the Omega Sport Class, the Polish Championship in Omega Sport Class, and a silver medal at the Academic Sports Association championships (AMP) in the Social and Natural Science Universities category.

This year’s competition calendar is as follows:

• 17-18.05.2025 Krynica Morska – Polish Cup in the Omega Class
• 19-22.05.2025 Wilkasy – Academic Polish Championship in the Omega Class
• 07-08.06.2025 Poraj – Polish Cup in the Omega Class
• 30-31.08.2025 Sława – Polish Cup in the Omega Class
• 12-14.09.2025 Puck – Polish Championship in the Omega Class
• 04-05.10.2025 Mikołajki – Polish Cup in the Omega Class
