Rector Takes Part in BALTEXPO Programme Council Sitting

On 10 December 2025, HM the Rector of GMU, Professor Adam Weintrit, participated in the final BALTEXPO Programme Council Sitting of the 2025 calendar year. During the meeting, the Council members reviewed the record-breaking BALTEXPO fair held in October 2025 and discussed the key takeaways.

One of the main highlights of this year’s event was a roundtable discussion on developing the maritime sector workforce, bringing together representatives of universities, vocational schools, public administration, port and shipyard companies, and organisations representing maritime-economy businesses.

Taking part in the a panel which took place in relation to Education, Work and Careers Day, was HM The Rector of GMU, Professor Adam Weintrit. As part of BALTEXPO 2025, more than 300 companies and organisations from Poland and abroad gathered in the exhibition halls. At one of these dedicated stands, Gdynia Maritime University presented its educational opportunities and services for business.

BALTEXPO is a unique platform for building strategic business contacts and sharing knowledge and experience across the maritime and defence sectors. The next edition of the fair is planned for 2027.
