GMU Included in QS World University Rankings – Europe 2026

We are pleased to announce that Gdynia Maritime University has been included as one of a prestigious group of Universities included in the QS World University Rankings – Europe 2026 (QS Europe).

The University was ranked in the 701–900 band this year, among 958 higher education institutions from 42 countries. GMU placed 33rd out of 39 Polish universities included in the ranking.

QS Europe is a regional QS ranking that most closely reflects the specific features of European higher education systems compared with the global QS World University Rankings, and is one of the largest regional rankings in the world.

  • The QS Europe ranking is based on 12 criteria in 5 categories:
  • Research and Discovery (Academic Reputation, Citations per Paper, Papers per Faculty)
  • Employability and Outcomes (Employer Reputation, Employment Outcomes)
  • Learning Experience (Faculty Student Ratio)
  • Global engagement (International Research Network, International Faculty, International Student Diversity, Inbound Exchange Students, Outbound Exchange Students)
  • Sustainability .
