Wishes From HM The Rector of GMU on Librarians' and Libraries' Day

Ladies and Gentlemen,

On the occasion of Librarians’ and Libraries’ Day, I would like to express my highest esteem and heartfelt gratitude to the management and staff at the Karol Olgierd Borchadt Main Library for their daily work on behalf of Gdynia Maritime University.

The role of the University’s library is constantly evolving – today, it is no longer merely a space for collecting resources, but a modern centre of knowledge and information, as well as a valuable source of inspiration for further academic development. 

Thanks to your dedication, the Main Library, each and every day, is not only an open and reader-friendly place but also a space that responds to the challenges of the modern world.

I wish you a great deal of success and satisfaction in your mission, as well as unrelenting energy in your ongoing development and popularisation of reading at our University.
