The Dar Młodzieży reached the Spanish port of Cadiz on 8 May 2026 as part of its transatlantic voyage to the USA. The stopover in port will mostly be dedicated to fulfilling the ship's organisational needs in connection with its crossing of the Atlantic. The ship will take on fuel and supplies. Following completion of their work on board, cadets visited the attractions in Cadiz – one of the oldest cities in Europe.

On Saturday, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Madrid, headed by Monika Krzepkowska, Chargé d'affaires of the Republic of Poland in Spain, as well as the Deputy Mayor of Cádiz, Pablo Otero Gallardo, were welcomed on board the Dar Młodzieży

Sunday was dedicated to the changeover of trainees on board. Having completed their sea training, pupils from the Maritime Schools Complex in Świnoujście and students of the GMU Faculty of Marine Engineering disembarked the vessel. Taking their place on board were 1st-year students from the GMU Faculty of Navigation, for whom the voyage is their first time at sea as cadets. The newly arrived trainees began the familiarisation process, getting to know the ship and completing the mandatory initial training, preparing them for the most important stage of sail training – learning to work on the masts and yards.
