Gdynia Maritime University in a Special LipDub for the City's Centenary

Gdynia residents and representatives of Gdynia institutions, organisations, sports clubs, and creative communities participated in the recording. Together, they created a unique music video showcasing the energy, diversity, and, above all, the community spirit of the city’s residents.

The Gdynia Maritime University community was strongly represented in the project. Outside the Gdynia City Museum, GMU staff gathered with their families, alongside students and doctoral candidates. Together, they took part in one of the filming scenes, showing that GMU is not only made up of staff and students, but above all of people brought together by Gdynia and the sea.

The Gdynia Maritime University Academic Choir also appeared in a distinctive setting, taking part in filming near the Musical Theatre in Gdynia. With their presence and energy, the choir complemented the artistic character of the entire initiative.

Representatives of the GMU Sailing and Water Sports Centre also made their mark on the jubilee project, joining in the shared celebrations of Gdynia's 100th birthday.

GMU's participation in the Gdynia lipdub is more than an appearance in a video. It is a symbolic demonstration that Gdynia Maritime University is an important part of the city – its history, present, and future. From the outset, Gdynia and GMU have shared a special bond: the sea, the port, education, science, and the people who create this unique community every day.
