GMU Meets Conditions for Extension of PM Student Accreditation

We are pleased to announce that Gdynia Maritime University has met the conditions enabling the extension of its PM Student accreditation for another three years. This is confirmed by the Accreditation Committee's report on the current status of students sitting certification examinations. GMU's current accreditation remains valid until 31 March 2027. The positive assessment indicates that the University has satisfied the requirements necessary to continue cooperation within the programme.
PM Student is a programme run by the International Project Management Association Poland (IPMA Polska). Accreditation confirms the compliance of the study programme with competence requirements in project management. It also enables students enrolled on the accredited study pathway to sit certification examinations. Upon meeting the required conditions and passing the examination, students receive the PM Student certificate. Accreditation is therefore granted to the programme of study delivered by the university, while the student may obtain a certificate confirming their competences (International Project Management Association Polska, 2025).
The coordinator of the programme at Gdynia Maritime University is Dr Joanna Kizielewicz, GMU Deputy Rector for International Cooperation, who specialises in, among other areas, project management, strategic management, and inter-organisational relations (Gdynia Maritime University, 2026).
Professor Joanna Kizielewicz also organises preparatory courses for GMU students taking the PM Student certification examination. As a result, participants can consolidate their knowledge of project management and prepare to verify their competences during the examination.
Meeting the conditions for the extension of accreditation confirms the quality of education in project management and GMU’s commitment to developing students' practical competences.
